I Swear I'm Not Obsessed...

Two bruschetta recipes on one blog?Well...it just happens that I have 2 really delicious recipes. You can do a lot of variations with this recipe. I like to mix this with some tortellini and steamed veggies to make a scrumptious pasta salad. Don't bother measuring everything, just taste it along the way and add what seems right. It's a super easy and looks pretty impressive when you make it. Enjoy!

Start with about 2 cups of quartered cherry tomatoes (note:if doing this as a pasta salad base, you'll have to increase everything a little bit)

Add about 2-3 handfuls of parmesean cheese.

Finely chop 8-10 basil leaves and mix in.

Stir in about 1/8 cup of balsamic vinegar (I prefer white balsamic)

Finely chop (or use a garlic press) 2 garlic cloves (I actually doubled that cause I'm kind of a garlic freak...lovely right?)

Finally add a couple of tablespoons of olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. I usually like to add some chopped sun dried tomatoes in oil, but I was out this time.

Scoop onto toasted baggette slices and voila!

ps:I swear my next recipe will be a totally different fromt the last two!

Of course I beelined for my computer and searched for some tamed down (and cheaper!) versions of their attire as soon as I heard the "xoxo" sign off. So here, my friends, is some flowered garb you can afford.

This One's For the Ladies

Check out this new(?) Flight of the Conchords video.Not only is it hilarious, but it also totally inspired me to embrace the whole 70's skating on the boardwalk vibe (another activity my 70's playboy pool party alter ego would do,lol).

What I would give to spray paint these gold, and cruise around my neighborhood.

One of Those Nights

I've had a pretty stressful week (banquet, upcoming finals, job applications,etc.) so of course I was THRILLED when my aunt sent me this late birthday gift(aunt working at Ulta=best packages in the world). It was perfect because I LOVE baking (especially cupcakes) and who can resist a nice bath every now and then?)


It's basically a 2 in 1 bath fizzer. The "cake" part fizzes away in the bath, leaving the "frosting" as soap. And it has a candle on top, just for extra fun ( I made my sister sing Happy Birthday to me while I blew it out,just to make it legit).

Had the banquet last night. It went really well. I'll post more on that as soon as I get my friend to burn pictures of it.

Now stop reading this and go give your mother a hug! (like I'll be doing right...now)

ps: Really idiotic blog question...but what exactly is tagging? Is it just answering those questions or what? Don't mock me to harshly for asking, I'm kind of one of those people that have to look up any type of lingo or slang on urban dictionary. Lame, I know.
